1st to go is Union workers in the US and then Canada. Even though Ram makes the most money for Stellantis, they will try to cut/retire as many of these Union workers as possible to lower costs. Ram trucks, Jeep and Dodge V8 cars have been the heart of this company, but with the increasing MPG mandates/tariffs who knows.

They can't use the dealer network. Add-ons would double the price. Showrooms, dealer principles, and etc. just add middleman costs to drive up the price. So, if it comes to fruition, it will have to be a Tesla type arrangement.

You can trade mark old names and move them around to brands, but if the quality doesn't improve and the cost you can just drop all of the CDJR brands. American brands were iconic at one time in life but has seem to slip away and now some are not even American brands now. I think all the conglomerates should be done away with. We had better service and products when companies were independent of each other and I am not just talking about vehicles. Just look at who owns what. AGCO owned 6 or more tractor and farm equipment companies, PepsiCo owns 20 or more drink and snack companies, Cargil farming products. All what everyone likes to call too big to fail, then after government subsidies or bailout they sell it off in pieces after all employees lives are left in shambles. I think this has gone so far because of the whole profitability within the stolen car crime ring as a whole. People don’t understand that people abroad with money don’t have as much access to these vehicles like we do. 50-60 percent of these stolen vehicles are being shipped overseas. To be sold for 100k minimum. My friend from iraq (came here at the age of 10) was on the phone with his cousins. One cousin literally asked about acquiring a Hellcat. He said he was willing to spend 110-120k for a low mileage one, and it didn’t matter how it came because after it hits the port of Dubai, there’s nothing no one can do to get it back. He didn’t care if my buddy paid 70k for it and kept the difference, nor if it was stolen and he kept the whole thing. He just wanted it. Now imagine having a piss poor ghetto upbringing and some ring leader comes and says, I’ll give you 15k per car, you just have take them and make sure they get in the shipping container…. Then I don’t even want to get into insurance fraud from dealers who couldn’t move inventory!

in the past management built companies. Not only built them, but expanded them. New management tears companies down. Contracts them. Shuts down brands because of less than exciting sales. New management increases their salaries significantly. Why not increase the effort to build a company?

Love how a bunch of comments on here are running cover for insurance companies that suck money out of you for years on end, but then scream that they're headed to the poor house when they actually have to pay out a legit claim. The insurance companies don't pay out claims Willy Nilly, if they can find a reason not to they'll deny a claim in a second, but they want to keep all the money you paid them over the years.
